Earlier this year i went on a trip to Drusillas Park which is one of my favourite places to visit. It is one of the only zoo's that you can actually get up close to the animals and get some great photographs. So often I find that there are many layers in between the animals and you that you can't have any kind of interaction with them. I would highly recommend a visit here if you can.
This was one of my favourite parts of the day. Basking in the sun was high on the agenda!
I really really love my sleep and I am still working on night time photography so I felt really lucky to get this photo. I had to stand and watch this beautiful owl for about 30 minutes until he felt like he could come closer to me and posed for this photo. The snowy owl is a truly beautiful creature.
This Flamingo was a cheeky little fellow! What with him not standing still and the sun hiding between clouds and then popping back out it took some patience to get this shot but I am really pleased that I did. The colours are fantastic and they are so clever as a species.
